This quality southwest chest features a deep rich chocolate coloring that includes subtle lighter tones throughout the piece for a distressed, elegant look. The technique used to paint the Avila Chest gives it an aged, speckled appearance. The two doors frame the curves and spirals within the door faces. The metalwork forms a mirror image that centers on a small circular detail in the middle. There’s a nice variation between curves and straight lines within the door fronts. Small pulls that are anchored on a floral shaped feature make up the door handles, while the drawers have elegant spiraled pulls along the front. The deep coloring of the inside of this western style hutch will nicely showcase the items on display. The rounded feet are a nice complement to the curved features along the bottom edge of this piece. There is subtle beveling within the drawer fronts and along the edges that creates cohesiveness throughout.
